The intervention in this entrance lobby addresses the specific challenges of the space in its previous condition: a single, narrow entrance serving all building users, including occupants, maintenance staff, and delivery personnel.

Rather than concealing the evident narrowing of the space, the design embraces and amplifies it, transforming it into the project’s defining concept.
A funnel-shaped geometry is therefore introduced, compressing the space and guiding visitors towards a clear focal point.
To achieve this, a secondary staircase leading to a technical mezzanine is deliberately concealed, while the reception desk is relocated to a more natural position, perpendicular to the main circulation route.
Due to the lobby's narrow proportions and considerable length, natural light was unable to reach the lift area at the far end of the space.
To overcome this, the entire side wall is clad in a wedge-shaped metallic surface that reflects and channels daylight deep into the interior, while also creating dynamic visual effects through the reflections of people moving through the space.
The project's location, on Barcelona's prestigious Passeig de Gràcia, inspired a refined and understated material palette.
Natural stone flooring, seamless lime-based wall finishes, and polished stainless steel are used to enhance the reflection of natural light, while satin-finished steel is applied to elements such as the lift portals and the reception desk, bringing warmth and sophistication to the overall composition.
