BARECITO (Valencia)

Barecito is the seed of an ambitious project that aims to reinterpret the classic bar in a more modern format and to replicate it in many streets and squares of our geography.

After studying the concept of the bar and what is intended inside it, it was decided to give the protagonism of the project to the high tables: both the bar itself where the waiters are located, as well as a large high social table to share the experience with other guests; and also to another bar that runs around the perimeter of the spot and that, thanks to its comb shape, can accommodate people individually or in small groups.

All these elements are made of stainless steel with a large edge that highlights them as protagonists and around which the rest of the elements will appear.

Social stools

This is intended to maximize the number of diners at stool height, which facilitates high turnover but also high interaction between different diners and different groups of diners. A bustling atmosphere is intended, which will be dampened by the use of acoustic materials, such as the projected ceiling.

Classic reinvented

Around the stainless steel bar elements, other secondary elements emerge that conceptualize the memory of the classic Spanish bar: the terrazzo flooring, the use of walnut wood, the striped awning or the terracotta pottery, all loaded with a great density of graphic design of the brand, which “messes up” the design to resemble a bar that has been around for years and in which numerous layers have been added since the original design.

With Barecito, Destudio consolidates a design formula that combines identity, efficiency and replicability. A concept designed to the millimeter to connect with the collective imagination, optimize the user experience and adapt to different locations without losing its essence. A contemporary bar model with a traditional soul, ready to grow without sacrificing design.
